Sometimes emotions and problems can feel really overwhelming and it may feel difficult to cope – you may not be sure what to do.
Reaching out to someone may feel hard but it can make a difference. You can talk to us about anything – talking to us can really help.
HYCS offers a free, 1-2-1 counselling service just for young people – whatever is troubling you, however big or small, we’re here to listen. Our service is confidential and anyone aged 11-25* who lives, works or studies in the Borough of Hounslow can self-refer to our free service. Just pick up the phone!
* Please note, unfortunately we cannot register you if there is less than 6 months until your 26th birthday.
“It’s when someone listens to how you feel. They won’t tell you that you’re wrong. You are allowed to feel how you want to feel”. (Client’s words)
We all need support from time to time and counselling provides a safe, supportive and confidential space to explore and work through whatever is troubling you with a trained counsellor. We are here to listen with acceptance, empathy and without judgement.
There are many different types of counselling and here at HYCS we offer a Humanistic approach –we believe that we are all able to grow and change given the right conditions. Our counsellors will therefore listen carefully to what you say, without judging and in confidence, helping you to work through problems and to develop in your own way so that you can achieve your potential.
If you want to know more about the different types of counselling to see if this is the right approach for you – check out this link to the BACP guide to therapy types.
